dscf0009.jpg - Walked about 65 miles of the 97 mile Cheshire Ring canal walk. Then blisters and the lack of scenery in Manchester persuaded me to get a train. Walked 17th - 20th February and made good time - finishing each leg in early afternoon given an 8am start. At around 20 miles per day thats better than 3mph - about what I'd expect for such a level walk. The start of the walk in Grapenhall, not far from Latchford Locks. This is 8:10 and I've walked about an hour and 20 minutes from home to get here. Conditions are just about perfect - frosty but some sun is trying to get out.
